Introduction To BBQ Class

We will be spending the day going into detail theories & practices regarding Meat Preparation & cooking of “core four”meats (Pork Ribs, Chicken, Pork Shoulder & Beef Brisket), as well as related meats (Beef Roasts, Turkey, Beef Ribs etc). Course will also include safe handling & storage of meats as well as suggested sauce & spice pairings, traditional sides & reheating &
reusing recipes for leftovers.
Smoker Types & Fire Management
Students will get a chance to get hands on with a variety of smokers/grills. There will be discussions on wood types & what is best recommended to use when executing your menu, temperatures for “Low & Slow” as well as “Hot & Fast” cooking styles.
Every student will receive a high quality meat probe & apron as well as a “goody basket” of things every pitmaster needs for their daily use/cleaning of equipment. Breakfast, beverages & plenty of BBQ will be served & sampled throughout the day!
