The world is constantly evolving. The way Medicine Hat receives its news and important information has evolved as well.
On February 9, the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group launched CHAT News Today, an online platform that allows people to access their news and community information immediately.
CHAT News Today, powered by the award-winning CHAT Television newsroom, is poised to deliver the news when it happens, as it happens. The newsroom has adopted a digital-first model, meaning news will come to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. News doesn’t take a day off, and neither will CHAT News Today.
The site includes more in-depth features than what we can air on television, and even some stories which may not make the newscast, but remain important to Hatters. Our evening newscast will also be available to view on the website, in case you missed it.
It’s not just news you can access through the website; We’ll have opinion pieces and columns, community news, events, flyers, classified ads, a dedicated section for automobile and real estate listings, and even obituaries. Multiple community groups and businesses have already bought into the site, and we anticipate more will join as we continue to grow.
And here’s the best part: It’s free.
CHAT News Today is 100 per cent free to access. Want to find our what’s going on in the community. Just log onto the website. There is no monthly subscription fee, no monthly story limit, no paywall and no extra cost for premium content. It’s all free.
Want to post a classified advertisement on the site, or inform people about your community event? You can log in with your information and post it for free.
CHAT News Today joins the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group’s other successful ventures in Medicine Hat, including My96, CHAT 94.5 FM and CHAT Television. We’re confident CHAT News Today will become an integral part of the community both now, and into the future.
