Red Deer Home Renovation Expert – Jake Folkerts

T

his past winter has been long, dark and cold. A little unusual for Red Deer, with spring in the air it’s time to start planning your exterior renovations. Here are a few things to consider when hiring your next contractor.

How long have they been in business? It is safe to say the correlation  between the longevity of a company and quality, honesty and integrity go hand in hand.

Do they have WCB and liability insurance? Lots of these new small guys don’t! Their prices might be tempting but that leaves the home owner liable to damages or injuries caused on their property.

Can they provide references? Are they registered with BBB? If they can provide multiple references or work with other reputable contractors, this is a good indication of quality and reliability in their community.

Do they sound competent? A great contractor will educate you and give you the information you need to make an informed decision. Without feelingly pushed to go with them.
