Things Your Personal Trainer Should Never Do
Your personal trainer should never tell you that you need to be sore after a workout to get results. Soreness is your body adapting to a new workout or stimulus and not every workout needs to leave you so sore that you can’t walk up or down the stairs!
Your personal trainer should never have you do squats on an unstable surface if you have a goal of fat loss. That is not functional training. That is enter-training!
Your personal trainer should never have you do speed work using an agility ladder if you have a goal of getting faster. You get faster by improving stride length via building leg strength and producing more ground reaction force in your strides!
Your personal trainer should never have you do more core to show your 8 pack. You need to work on more discipline in the kitchen for fat loss results and to show your 8 pack!
Your personal trainer should never tell you that women can’t train with heavy weights or you’ll get bulky!
Your personal trainer should never not walk the walk and ask you to do something they would not be prepared to do!
Your personal trainer should never tell you no pain no gain. However, there is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment. And it is your choice everyday which one you choose!
