Red Deer Glass Repair Expert – Jeff Heisler

With Old Man Winter hovering around the corner, and the little bugger showing his face a little early this year, we have to ask the question, is your vehicle’s glass ready for the attack?

Of course having a new windshield installed before is your best bet, however, there are things that you can do to make sure that you get the most out of your existing windshield.

First off, fix your rock chips.  Differences in temperature between the outside of your vehicle and the inside (when you turn you defrost on in the morning) can cause these little fractures to have an immense amount of pressure on them causing them to crack.

Another thing you can do is to replace your wiper blades with a good quality, brand name blade.  The top of the list for us is Trico (Force are the model we carry) and Bosch (Clear Advantage).  This will definitely help you see the road better.

And last but not least, Aquapel.  This amazing product is a silicone based hydrophobic, in easier to understand terms, it’s like a wax for your glass.  It does not allow anything to stick to the glass the same way, thus making it easier for rain/snow/splashed up road water, to quickly bead up and flow off the glass.  This also means that snow and ice won’t stick as much either.

We can’t avoid Old Man Winter, all we can do is be ready for him.
