The game of hockey has a beginning and ending. If you lose a hockey game, you are stuck being a loser of that game forever. It’s not possible to go back and change the score or the plays once the game is over. It’s a finite game. It begins and ends. Most sports competitions are finite games.
There is such as thing as an infinite game. The game of ‘tag’ could be considered an infinite game. You never really win or lose. It just keeps going as long as the players are willing to play.
In your life, you will face many obstacles and frustrations. It may feel like you have lost the game of life some days. It’s important to realize that you are not playing a finite game as you go through your life. Through every loss, remember to be an infinite player.
“…let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1
