Hold on to Hope
When you look at the news, you may notice there are many troubling events in our world. There is the threat of war, terrorism, and financial concern. After scrolling through the news, you may end up feeling somewhat hopeless.
Then there are personal situations you must navigate. Health concerns, family issues, marriage difficulties, and there just never seems to be enough money. The dreariness can set in like dark clouds. The constant barrage of stressors from day to day are enough to make you feel depressed. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, you find out you’ve lost your job.
It would be easy to wave your fist at the darkness, cursing and angrily screaming in despair. Instead, I invite you to light a single candle of hope. Better days are ahead. If you feel you’ve hit rock bottom, then at least you’ve got only one direction to go. You will rise out of the mess. The darkest time of the night is right before dawn. You may feel like you’ve lost everything; but, don’t lose your hope.
This hope is like a firm and steady anchor for our souls. Hebrews 6:19
For weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5
