Closet clunkers, every family has one, an old six string acoustic tucked away with keep sake boxes, and out-dated legal forms, crammed into a closet in so many households. It’s not uncommon for people to believe that their long forgotten acoustic has been “worn out”. It however takes surprisingly little to rejuvenate a stringed instrument. Guitars are built to last, and be played relentlessly in most cases, and a quick restring, finish polish, and fretboard hydration can make almost any guitar feel like new again. With the back to school settle down, and fall approaching it may be a good time to dust of your closet clunker, and get rocking once more.
