If you are like most Canadians, it is safe to say that summertime is your favorite season. With the warmer weather and longer days this means we have more time to spend outdoors in our gardens, lounging on the patio, relaxing at the beach or enjoying a leisurely stroll (think downtown)!
During the summer, people often eat more fresh fruits and vegetables as our local greenhouses are in full production. For some of us, we eat lighter, smaller portions as the heat can decrease our appetites. Nevertheless, it is still just as important to maintain a good balanced diet that should include heathy fats as found in Olive Oil (monounsaturated).

My favorite combinations on a fruit salad include our Persian Lime Olive Oil with Strawberry Dark Balsamic OR our Eureka Lemon Olive Oil with Blueberry Dark Balsamic. As for a couple of my favorite summer tossed salads, I love the Wild Dill Olive Oil with Grapefruit White Balsamic OR our Milanese Gremolata Olive Oil with Neapolitan Herb Dark Balsamic (especially if you crave rich and savoury notes). Believe me when I say, it’s hard to stop recommending at only those pairs!!
