Kid Friendly Colours
Your child’s room is a lot more than a sleeping place. It is a place for play, dreams, ideas and comfort. Colors set the stage for it all and choosing them is a fun project that you can do together. Their room is the perfect place for them to express their personality, inspire their interests and grow their imagination.
Do you remember your favorite color as a child?
I have witnessed many times a parent trying to sway the child’s decision to choose a not so vibrant pink, or a little bit lighter shade of the color than they actually desire. The key is to find the right balance.
Use the more intense shades on a feature wall, the ceiling or even paint some furniture. The bright colors can also be used thought the room in bedding or wall decor.
Brights like yellows oranges, and limes spark creativity. Try 2028-40 Pear Green, 2015-20 Orange Burst or 2023-40 Sunburst.
To add a feeling of coziness and warmth use reds and chocolates. Try cc-482 chocolate fondue or 2007-10 Smoldering Red.
For a feeling of calm and restfulness use soft blues and grass greens. Try 2055-60 Serenity and CC-590 Grasslands.
For those that are not ready to commit to paint colors we do have an extensive line of peel and stick removable wall art such as roommates, wall-pops, wall talk and snap. The possibilities are endless anything from shapes and stripes to their favorite cartoon characters.
I invite you and your children to come and visit us a Freddie’s Paint & details. We will have fun creating a color palette that expresses their personal style and can grow along with them.

The knowledgeable staff at Freddie’s Paint are always available to recommend the best product and application process for the colour you choose.
If you aren’t ready to commit to adding red on the walls, you can easily introduce red to a room by painting a piece of furniture, adding red artwork, throw cushions or vases.
