Ask the Herbal Remedy Expert

Adrenal fatigue is widespread and it is not solved by the usual methods you might think. The adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys and they are in charge of your fight or flight response. When we experience stress or traumas, they can be overwhelmed and you can experience any one of these symptoms:
* swollen ankles after 6pm cravings for salt
* pms
* dizzy when you stand up
* can’t handle stress very well
* tired in the morning, better in the evening
* everything seems like an effort
* mild depression
Here a couple of simple tests to see if you have adrenal fatigue:
* shine a flashlight into your eyes. Normally the pupils contract, but with adrenal fatigue they contract and expand, contract and expand.
* take your blood pressure sitting down, then take it standing up. It should be higher when standing up – if it is lower, it is a sign of adrenal fatigue.
Wholistic treatment for adrenal fatigue is very specific. If you think this may be a problem for you, we can do further testing and assist in recovery.

CLEANSING THE KIDNEYS
Every day 4,000 quarts of blood flow through your kidneys where it is cleansed of metabolic waste. Urea, uric acid, excess water and other metabolic waste products, drugs, pollutants and bacterial waste are eliminated and the acid-alkaline balance of the blood is maintained by the kidneys. Without the kidneys vital cleansing assistance, you would die of autointoxication in a few hours. Even body temperature is regulated by the kidneys.
These days the kidneys are the most stressed organs in our body. It is the kidneys that have to process our high salt diet, process our over consumption of animal meat and coffee. It is no wonder why so many people end up on dialysis from kidney failure.
If you want nice skin, take care of the kidneys. If you want energy, take care of the kidneys. If you want to live a healthy nice life, take care of the kidneys. They are your first energetic line of defence in the body, and the most important.
To help your Kidneys:
- limit coffee and regular teas to one a day (or none)
- limit animal proteins to one light serving a day, preferably at noon
- limit salt to only a sprinkle on your favorite food that you just can’t eat without it, use sea-salt himalyan salt or celtic salt.
- limit alcohol to a small glass of wine with the evening meal (or none at all)
- drink several glasses of pure water daily, but do not drink more than 8 glasses unless you are on a cleansing routine (too much water for the kidneys to process)
- drink lots of fresh juices (get yourself a juicer or blender), beet juice tones the kidneys, green drinks, lemon juice, watermelon juice all beneficial
- if you can grow wheatgrass or get it daily, sip an ounce on an empty stomach (no eating for 1 hr before and after). Wonderful to help the kidneys and whole body.
- best herbal teas: cornsilk, parsley, red clover blossom, nettle
