It’s Time – It’s POOL TIME in Alberta

Many families enjoy the luxury of simply stepping out their back doors, into their own private swimming pools.  Along with all the benefits comes the maintenance, and that’s where we come in.

As Red Deer’s authorized BioGuard dealer, Sun N Fun Pool and Spa’s staff is professionally trained to offer their expertise on why and how to use pool and spa maintenance products plus free water testing is always available complete with computerized water analysis.

Why do we use chemicals? The answer is very simple, pools and hot tubs are the perfect environment for bacteria and algae growth. If left alone your pool or hot tub would soon look like a slough, the thought is not very inviting, is it? But with just a few steps all bacteria growth can be prevented.

Sanitizer – All pools need a form of sanitizer. Chlorine is available in many forms, the easiest are BioGuard Smart Sticks, specifically designed for slow release; they need to be replaced once/week

Algae Treatment – An algaecide to prevent algae growth, BioGuard Banish, should be introduced as soon as you fill your pool and maintained with smaller weekly doses. Algae is very time consuming and expensive to remove.

Shock – After a busy week in the pool a shock product is needed, to rid the bacteria that has been suspended by the chlorine and make your water sparkle. Use the directed amount, a lesser amount may not be enough to reach break point therefore wasting time and money. Smart Shock is pre measured and you can swim in 20 minutes.

Clean – Use your automated cleaners regularly and remember to brush the dead spots behind the stairs etc. weekly to remove bacteria collecting on the walls.

A hot tub is used for fun, relaxation and therapy; the buying experience should be too!

A reputable dealer – works with you to find the perfect size, price & model. Ask Questions like – How long has the dealership carried that brand of hot tub? How long has the spa manufacturer been in business? What is their Better Business Bureau Rating? If you have problems; do they have technicians or contract work out? What is the spas warranty – it should include parts and labour; what is the process if you have a problem?
